Terms of Service

1. Service Description

CovLet is an AI-powered tool that generates cover letters based on a job description and your resume or professional background. The output is generated by a large language model (Anthropic Claude) and is intended as a starting point — not a guaranteed path to employment. You are responsible for reviewing and editing the generated content before using it.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or to generate misleading or fraudulent content.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate access to the service beyond normal use.
• Resell or redistribute generated content as a competing service.
• Abuse the free tier through technical circumvention (e.g., clearing cookies to reset limits).

3. Credits & Payments

CovLet offers a free tier with a limited number of generations. Additional credits can be purchased in packs. Credits do not expire. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Due to the nature of digital content generation, purchases are generally non-refundable. If you experience a technical issue that prevents generation, please contact us and we will resolve the issue or issue a refund at our discretion.

4. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of the content you provide (job descriptions, resumes) and the cover letters generated for you. CovLet does not claim any rights over your inputs or outputs. You are free to use, modify, and distribute your generated cover letters as you wish.

5. Limitation of Liability

CovLet is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The generated content is AI-produced and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or content that does not perfectly match your qualifications. We are not liable for:

• The outcome of any job application using our generated content.
• Inaccuracies or omissions in the AI-generated output.
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

6. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, any unused credits are forfeited.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the email associated with your account. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Norway.
