When you use CovLet, we may collect the following information:

  • Text inputs — the job description and resume/background you paste into the generator.
  • Account information — email address and authentication data if you create an account.
  • Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
  • Usage data — anonymous generation counts (used for the free-tier limit via a browser cookie).

2. How We Use Your Data

Your job description and resume text are used solely to generate your cover letter. They are sent to the Anthropic API (Claude) for processing and are not stored on our servers after generation is complete. We do not use your inputs to train AI models, sell to third parties, or for any purpose beyond fulfilling your request.

6. Data Retention

Text inputs (job descriptions and resumes) are not persisted after your cover letter has been generated. Account data and generation history are retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
